The combined organic extracts were washed with water (100 mL x 2), followed by brine (50 mL x 2) and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The resultant residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (60-120 mesh) using 5-10% EtOAc / hexanes to afford 3-i as an off- white solid (6.3 g, 76% yield). LCMS: 310.95 (M+1).
