5-Methoxycarbonyl-2-oxindole 5-Iodo-2-oxindole (17 g) was refluxed with 2 g of palladium diacetate, 18.2 g of triethylamine, 150 ML of methanol, 15 ML of dimethylsulfoxide and 2.6 g of DPPP in an atmosphere saturated with carbon monoxide..
