General procedure: A mixture of 1 (0.4 mmol), 2 (0.4 mmol), Na2CO3 (0.8 mmol) and TBHP (0.4 mmol) in DMF (4 mL) was stirred at rt for 2 h. Then, the mixture was poured into ice-water, acidified with 1 N HCl aq. (6 mL). The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (20 mL x 3).
