General procedure: A solution of N-methylisatin (81 mg, 0.5 mmol), phenylacethylene (77 mg, 0.75 mmol), CuI (19 mg, 0.1 mmol), and Cs2CO3 (245 mg, 0.75 mmol) in CH3CN (1.0 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 18 h.
