Step 3: Synthesis of Intermediate R7 [0295] To I-4.2 (32.0 g, 142 mmol) in anhydrous dioxane (400 mL) is added R3 (54.4 g, 241 mmol) and potassium acetate (41.6 g, 424 mmol). The mixture is purged with Argon, [1,1?-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]dichloropalladium(II) as a compleƗ with dichloromethane (11.2 g, 14 mmol) is added and the mixture is heated to 90 C. for 2 h. The reaction mixture is diluted with ethyl acetate and water, the organic layer is washed with water, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated.
