The mixture is purged with Argon, [1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]dichloropalladium(II) (PdCl2(dppf)) (33 mg, 0.040 mmol) added and heated to 80 C for 1.5 h. The reaction mixture is diluted with EA and water, the organic layer washed with brine, dried and concentrated. The residue is purified via column chromatography (cyclohexane / EA = 1:1).
