The resulting solid was filtered and washed successively with water(2 30 mL) and cold aqueous ethanol (2 1 mL) to afford a crude product, which was recrystallizedfrom EtOH to afford the pure product 3. Some insolubility could be observed in the refluxing ethanolduring the recrystallization process, which should be filtered when hot.
