The combined organic layers were washed with brine solution, dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated under reduced pressure (rotary evaporator). The crude products were purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/hexanes: 30:70). All novel compounds were characterized by M.P., NMR, Mass and IR spectral data.
